Jasmine Pratt is a Caribbean-American background designer, visual development artist, and prop designer whose work spans feature film, television animation, live stage, and projects for Grammy Award-winning artists. An alumni of the School of Visual Arts, she is unbridled in her passion for creating immersive worlds driven by curiosity, visual storytelling, and imaginative research!
Her interest in art began with the wonderfully strange stop-motion PBS series CrashBox, whose absurdist visuals, unconventional humor, and experimental storytelling sparked an early fascination with how personal understandings of the world could be told through design. That curiosity continues to shape her work today, inspiring her to create environments, props, and visual concepts that bring the fantastical into familiar spaces.
When she is not drawing, Jasmine can often be found feeding pigeons, reading sociology papers, or endlessly journaling new writing ideas.
